The Swirl and Twirl team has been closely monitoring the COVID-19 pandemic as it evolves and we regret to inform you that we’ve decided the situation remains too risky and unpredictable to be able to ensure we could organize a safe, festive event for our usual crowd of 750+ people. Unfortunately, Swirl and Twirl will not take place in 2020.

This is a huge disappointment and we are all so dismayed that we will not be able to raise funds for our three chosen beneficiaries, Bras Outaouais, Hygge Homesharing, and Ten Oaks Project this year. Since we went through the selection process and chose them for 2020 in good faith, we will not hold an application request for beneficiaries in 2021 and they will be automatically selected for our event next May.

We are also concerned for our fantastic food and beverage vendors who have supported us in years past and we encourage you to support them in ways you can afford in these challenging times. Businesses like restaurants and distilleries are going to be hard hit in the coming months and we hope they can weather the long periods of austerity we’re all looking at for the next little while.

And of course, we are saddened to have to cancel an event we know all of you love to attend, rely on and look forward to attending each spring. Your health and well-being is very important to us. Please take care of yourself and your loved ones. Offer a helping hand where you can and ask for help when you need it. We’re all in this together. We love you all so much and will miss your beautiful faces this May.
