On August 17, 2015, Swirl and Twirl was pleased to present Bruce House, *Kind (formerly PTS) and the Ottawa Gay Men’s Chorus with a cheque of $8,000 as a result of funds raised at our 11th annual Swirl and Twirl event.
The cocktail reception, held at After Stonewall on 370 Bank Street in the heart of Ottawa’s Village, was also a chance to thank volunteers, sponsors and food and beverage vendors who helped make Swirl and Twirl on May 28 a huge success and one of our most impressive results ever.
The evening was highlighted with performances by Marcel Milot of the Ottawa Gay Men’s Chorus, singing the classic La vie en rose and Queertet, who sang an ABBA Medley in barbershop harmonies.
Special thanks to After Stonewall for generously opening your space for the event, and also Beyond the Pale Brewing Company, Dog and Pony Sound, Epicure: Dino Blasioli, Konzelmann Estate Winery, Mastermind Event Rentals, The Unrefined Olive and Whole Foods Market Lansdowne, who, in addition to being 2015 supporters, also helped provide food, alcohol and services for the cheque presentation.
